I saw pretty good attendance at last minute rallies in Shinjuku and Nakano this evening, so I can only hope that translates to greater voter turnout and the incorporation of the oft-stated desire for change. Being a crook is one thing, being a dimwitted petty crook is almost worse in Akagi's case. I'd like to be the first to publicly call fir him to continue his predecessor's work as thoroughly as possible and at his earliest possible convenience. And how stupid could Abe possibly be? Did he really think this stuff wasn't going to come to light? Did he think it would somehow be OK? Did he not do any digging before appointing Akagi? Did Akagi think no one would find out? (Probably. He's stupid enough to send the same receipts in twice and expect not to get caught, even as he fills the position of Matsuoka, who committed suicide amid hounding misreporting of political fund expenses.) Most of all, though, the thing I will never understand is, where is the outraged public? Where are the people saying, "No more"?
