    In this week’s computer leakage news, an unusual double strike — 14,598 students and files from Self-Defense Force’s Gifu Air Base in Kakamigahara get leaked simultaneously from the same computer. What will they do for an encore?

    News:

    • 2007/07/02 Info on 14,600 students leaked from teacher’s PC, The Yomiuri Shimbun; “The Aichi Prefectural Board of Education says personal information on students at two prefectural high schools was inadvertently uploaded to the Internet from a teacher’s personal computer. It is thought that the information was leaked via a virus in file-swapping software Share from a PC in the home of the 43-year-old male teacher at Ichinomiya Technical Upper Secondly (sic) School.
      The information concerns a total of 14,598 students, according to the education board. Personal information on members of the Air Self-Defense Force’s Gifu Air Base in Kakamigahara, Gifu Prefecture, also was leaked from the teacher’s PC.”
