Foreign trainee sexually assaulted

“A foreign woman recruited for a farm training program sued the Japan International Training Cooperation Organization and a related executive Monday, saying she was sexually assaulted multiple times by the executive and deceived by her host company for more than a year.”

The foreign trainee program is mostly just an excuse to get cheap labor. As the trainees are not protected under labor law, their treatment is often abysmal. The program should either be greatly modified or canceled.
I think this story is a good example of just how little protection these trainees have. I hope appropriate justice is done in this case.
