Having taught myself in the past, I also got annoyed when someone would start talking on their cell phone in the middle of class. I would tell them to leave the room until they were done. I had warned her I'd do it, the phone didn't break (it hit the grass) and even she seemed to take it in stride. I had to give her credit for comic timing. After I tossed it out the window, she looked at me shocked for a few seconds, then asked, in earnest, "Can I go get it?" I couldn't help but laugh. Luckily, one of her classmates took the pressure of asking the obvious question off of me by asking her, "What? Are you fucking retarded?"
